Our client is seeking a Senior Level Programmer/Analyst to provide full life cycle software development /DevOps for a federal agency. The Programmer/Analyst will be a key member of a team that leads the requirements collection and analysis, data modeling, software design, development, debugging, and implementation and enhancement of new and existing software programs in PL/SQL programming languages.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Gather and document Software requirements from project teams, end users and subject matter experts (SMEs)
• Lead the analysis, data modeling, technical and functional design of software projects through the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Design, develop, enhances, debugs, and implements interactive and batch software
• Write test cases, perform functional and integration testing during various phases of the product life cycle
• Research, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements
• Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools
• Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
• 10+ years programming and software development experience
• 5+ Oracle, SQL and PL/SQL programming experience
• Experience in creating ,modifying stored procedures and programming using SQL/PL-SQL
• Highly analytical, possessing critical and creative thinking skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with team and customers
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an integrated team

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Development experience using ORM tools such as Hibernate; Web Services, Spring ;  jQuery; HTML5
• Experience in innovative Java-centric scalable enterprise custom application development and delivery
• Experience with Agile development environment
• Experience with Python
• Experience with Linux shell programming
• Experience with  API and Batch application development and deployment
• Experience developing software in a DevSecOps environment using GitLab
